What is this? My Maui bunny knitting away with
some great yarn sent to me by Bronwyn (my SP)
on some KnitLites. I just had to have a pair for
when I travel & BF wants to drive safely. I can knit
safely too!
Finally! A pic of all the great goodies I recieved
from my SP. I love all of it and am going to make
the Pendant shawl for my mom. I have so many
things that I have made so far for the Holidays;
I will show them later. Happy Holidays!
So many projects I want to complete before the Holidays
come around. Whewww, this year has gone by fast.
My little knit group has been excited about making
gifts and storing them in a box as a way to be ahead for the
Season's gift giving joy. The girls are so much fun; they
are 4th-6th graders and love to get together at our Library
to knit and talk and munch. It has been great to watch their
enthusiasm over a new pattern or technique. I love how they
make me laugh.
We had such fun watching Bella dance on her
first day of ballet. Her cousin, Taylor had taken
dance from the same teacher. They grow so
fast and watching them get passionate about
life is a great reminder to stay in love with life.
This shrug took one skein of chunky
yarn. It is warm & cuddly. I will wear it
often this Winter. I really like the off
color.
I fell for this bell at the Volunteer Park
Conservatory. Reminded me of Japan;
how I love all things Japanese...
Slloowwllly knitting lace panel for a great
skirt from Greeting from Knit Cafe. It is being
knitted in a cotton blend from Debbie Bliss given
to me by a former SP... Love the feel of it & I'm
hoping that it won't be too heavy!
Great summer time acitivities. Still working on my
skirt from Greetings from Knit Cafe. Also, started &
finished a quick knit shrug from DVD Knit in Motion.
Will post pics of progress on skirt & post pic of
completed shrug. It has been such a wonderful
summer that I am almost sad that too soon Fall
will be here. Meanwhile, I am busy getting things
together for programs at work and just loving life
as a whole.
We had so much fun this wkend; visited Mukilteo
Library where they have these great statues. Hemp
Fest was awesome; I love Seattle!
The first time I experienced a Belladonna
plant also known as Angel Trumpet I was
inspired. It seems so surreal & other worldly...
Of course, I thought quite literally that children
could hear the trumpeting of fairies or angels
while laying down underneath this tree. It is
at the Conservatory @ Volunteer Park if you
would like to go & see if you hear any angels
for yourself.
More from the Volunteer Park
Conservatory. This beautiful
variety of Hollyhocks is called
Indian Spring. Indulged in some
seeds to plant for next spring.
I am so excited about visiting the
conservatory; there were so many
striking varities of plants.
I love the view from my little apt.
and there are many reasons
why; this catamaran is way
out in the distance. sigh...
This great design was done by a
young girl at the Seattle Bites. It
comes from Mehndi Madness; check
out their website as they have great
selection of designs for sale.
Loverly Maui... Hope to visit during the Holidays
to see my sister, family & my son... Love the
ocean views... ahhhh, I can smell the salty
air.
This pic comes from a Mehndi site that is
fantastic. During the Seattle Bites I had a
tatt done by some girls there doing henna.
I'll post pics soon of said tatt. I am wanting
to do my own tattoos with henna; top of the
hands having my highest vote. Most people
where I work look at it rather curiously & ask
if it is Henna. I love the exotic look & feel as
once it is on you can not touch it for up to 24
hours. Oh dear, nothing to do for 24 hours.
What a perfect excuse to stay sitting quietly for
a while...
Crusining through the coffee aisle I looked up to see
this great coffee label with Jimi on it; gotta love folks
who have good taste. The flavors are just as creative;
Kiss the Sky & Hey Joe among others sound divine.
Next coffe purchase for me will definitely be this label.
