After a bout with critical pneumonia at the end of May my only solace and comfort
has been knitting! and Sewing. Made a black cotton Pirate shirt for a friend. Knitted a pr. of cotton Debbie Bliss in gray fingerless cabled gloves and a pr. of
merino/cashmere cabled, fingerless gloves. No pics! However, I did manage two more prs. of laced-up fingerless gauntless gloves in gray cotton by Debbie Bliss and am on to knitting another pr. in red cotton.
Love my new interests in Pirates and Steampunk Fashion and hope to stay busy making
new things for my new interests.

You know you're bored when.....

It's so hard to take a photo of self without assistance! Started a new set of
Fingerless Gloves in a Debbie Bliss cotton. The cables really stand out; I won't
be able to fudge on them if I forget where I am. I think I remember the order...
None the less I put the dble knit on hold for a few. I want to try and make
several prs. of gloves by the end of the month. OOhhh, Lala, I forgot Isabelle's
Bday! Yikes, I forgot I want to make her a sweet Mermaid... Knit like crazy!

Coffe and Tea by Elizabeth Evans

Double knitting-- what can I say; it's interesting and you can not have too
much going on at the same time. Let's see two colors- not bad, two different
stitches, ok- and a chart that has you switch stitches and colors when you
least expect it! Love this technique. More, Please! :) I plan on making a
plethora of mats, pot holders and towels to go along with the Ballband Wash
Cloths. Working and being unemployed is also a challenge. Still looking for
more work and waiting to go back to school> My life is full. Bought a new
bed. The old one was a nightmare; coils springing out for the attack, the
side permanently mangled to limp with you on the floor. Spring!! Time to plant
everything. Starting pot containers this weekend. Also on the agenda: date time
for me and BF. We are going to see Sherlock Holmes 1st and then Alice in Wonderland
this weekend.

Biology 101 and turning 7!

I fell in love with this amazing life like pattern and made it for my grandson's
7th birthday. He's a boys boy and loves reptiles, spiders, and anything creepy
crawly. When he was a baby we nicknamed him Jaiden-bug. He was very alert; he'd
point out every bug within eyesight and squeal,"BUG!" like it was ice cream and
cake! So cute. He's now 7 and very smart. I can no longer spell words in front of
him-- he spells really well. His paternal grandmother taught him how to play chess
at age 3. He can be a formidable player. This is tribute to his spirit and curiosity
Today is my mom's 75th Birthday. I sent her some orchids and had thought to send
chocolate covered strawberries but instead she ended up two orchids and next week
the floral company will send her 1/2 dozen strawberries for free; how sweet!!
A tribute to her spirit also; strong, fierce and indepedent. She has lived through
some major landmark history and is all the better human for it. I love her so much.

Bizzie knitting and making jewelry

b

Used some awesome Knit Picks sock yarn to do a warm cabled fingerless glove and made some jewelry for new ventures. Oh, Happy Days.
